What are the Causes of Hair Loss in Men and Women?

There are various factors which cause or contribute to hairloss. For Men, 95% of the hair loss is caused by what is known as Male Pattern Hairloss. For Women, it is called Female Pattern Hairloss. Research studies on male and female hairloss have shown that the hormone DiHydroTestosterone (DHT) is the major cause of Male Pattern Baldness and Female Pattern Hairloss. DHT is converted from Testosterone through the activity of an enzyme called 5 Alpha Reductase (5AR).
